Organized Wardrobe with Different Clothes

About Melissa

I am a wife and mother that has a gift for decluttering. My formal degree was in nutrition from the University of Florida, but most of my careers have been as an executive assistant helping to organize and streamline businesses. I took time off to be a stay at home mom to Carson and Gresham and assist in my husband Beau's real estate business. I am his accountant and video editor. In my free time I like to workout, bike, swim, attempt to run, do puzzles and bake.

I have enjoyed organizing since I was a little girl when I would reorganize my babysitters' purses. For years, I have helped friends and businesses to simplify their spaces and streamline their workflow. With the help of my mom, Brenda (from whom I inherited the organizing gene) we can tackle any project!

Testimonials

Washing Machine in a Laundry Room

"Melissa and Brenda are my fairy godmothers. They taught me how to declutter my home and only keep things of use and value. Everything was put back in such an organized and sensible way. They gave me a plan to maintain the organization, and to teach others in the house where things belong. I can now enjoy my home and my weekends aren't spent cleaning up."

Baking ingredients in an organized kitchen pantry

"They took my home and brought it back to life! Melissa helped me understand how things had gotten so out of control and gave us a system to keep things in order. My family loves the new clean house and seems to really embrace putting things away."

Step 1: We meet for a consult. You share your goals for the

space and the timeline you would like to work within.

Step 2: To cut down on cost/time, go through the space before we start and get rid of unwanted items. That way we only organize what you want to keep.

Step 3: Melissa and team get to work. We can arrange to be there while you are home or not...your preference.

Step 4: We meet after the space is arranged to go over the new layout and discuss any "question piles" that we may have.

Step 5: Enjoy your space and commit to putting things back in their "new" location. This it the key that will keep things organized for ever!

Organizing Tips

Woman Decluttering Clothes, Sorting
Woman hands neatly placing cosmetic and vanity items in MUJI's PP makeup storage boxes

~Don't be too embarrassed to ask for help! We are here to make your life easier, not criticize

~ Put items in the area where they belong from the start (EVERYTHING HAS IT'S PLACE)

~Twice a year go through drawers, closets, and cabinets

~If you are out of space, make a rule that something has to leave that space when a new item comes in

~Separate decluttering jobs into small 15-30 minute projects so you don't get overwhelmed

~Teach everyone in the household "the plan," and then help them be accountable for their part
